Imperitive issues to own?

As a former collector as a child, I never really found myself following Spawn. As an adult, I recently started augmenting what was left of my collections and building new ones. A small sparse amount of Spawn comics have landed in my hands, and now I need to know what the must own issues are. I will eventually fill out the rest of the collection, but it'd be nice to know which ones are more along the if I see it I should buy it range.

Currently I've got issues 12, 22, 23, 26, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 38, and 56. I know #26 was one of the pair of Gaiman co-owned issues that led to the lawsuit, but I'm hoping to know more. I've been told I should collect up to 100 for the most part, and I've read #5 is a must own, and obviously 1, but what else should I be looking for? And am I in possession of any gems unknown to me?

Personally for me 8 is one of the best issues in the series, but that is my opinion. Read 5 then 8 though. I hope this helps

Thanks a lot man. I've ordered some of the holes in my collection thus far today, 1, 2, 5, and 8, on top of a bunch of other stuff I really couldn't afford.
