One of the things that made ' SPAWN' such an incredible comic was work of his creator, Todd McFarlane. I think that most you would probably agree with me when I say that McFarlane's work is some of the best the industry has ever since. If you're a fan of the character, then you will be pleased to hear that McFarlane is presently working on penciling and inking some of the pages in the latest SPAWN comic book! Check out the sneak peek he leaked on Twitter earlier this afternoon!

You can always tell McFarlane's work apart from everyone else. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of patience that man has to put that much detail into his works of art.

Not much of a Spawn fan only moderately interested in McFarlane's art.  Despite this, his art did grow on me.
Over  the years, he has demonstrated his imagination and artistry can really be something. Witness his line of action figures for one.
I think for awhile he was doing too much, kind of lost his "edge".  Now, however,  this art right here--is off da hook.  Ouch!  Wowza and a half, that is full of action, detail and emotion.
"Holy Poop!"-- from the Pope himself.

I have this only to say. Todd McFarlane to his credit is an awesome artist, I've had the pleasure of meeting him and speaking with him on a few occasions. But it's clearly obvious that his style for spawn now mimics that of greg capullos, and judging from those inks I wouldn't be surpised if Dan Miki did them adding the old spawn touch to them. Just saying, still an amazing artist by far... He needs to find a way to get capullo back on the pencils on the regular, I love Whilce and he add's to a book like this, but I just miss Gregs Awesome work.

I've never read a single spawn book in my life, but this piece may change that. I'm bowled over, that is just amazing. I remember some of his work on spidey, but i don't remember any of it seeming this dynamic.

It's a bada** pick but it does look more of a Greg Capullo pic. I may actually have to buy my first spawn issue in a year+

I thought this book had ended a few years ago until the shop owner I was talking to mentioned he only orders "two copies of that Spawn book".

Wow that's pretty sad... I built half my spawn collection from the 50% off bin... I guess it shows how bad the writers have screw up a decent character

as far as I know todd mcfarlane pretty much has his hand in spawn from book one on forward. if you check out his endgame blog you actually see how much influence he still has over his baby.

I would love to pick this up, I'm a Todd fan and former Spawn fan, but they lost me a long time ago. It's a shame, but I don't think even MacFarlane could bring me back to the character. Isn't it not even Al simmons anymore? Shows you how long ago they lost me lol.
