Huh?
Since I am fairly new to the DCU I didn't even know that there was such a thing as the Source Wall!
Very interesting!

@G-Man: I think it was in Final Crisis: Secret files Grant Morrison retconned what Jim Starlin had done in Death of The New Gods about the Anti Life entity/Source merging, I could be wrong though.
#8 Posted by Branagin77 (70 posts) - - Show Bio

WTF!!

Sometimes comics can go overboard on their story content. Again, WTF.

All I can say to that is... huh? I think I'm more confused now then I was at the beginning of the video!

#20 Posted by Crymsun (123 posts) - - Show Bio

Great video, G-Man.   Am I a geek because I already knew all of that?
#21 Posted by MrMiracle77 (1659 posts) - - Show Bio

Lex Luthor was rocketed to the other side of the source wall by Metron in the second-to-final episode of JLU.

It was quasi retconned. It happened, but it's not what really happened, since an actual war of Gods is too much little old humans to handle. Either way, a very nice video.
#23 Posted by DEGRAAF (7870 posts) - - Show Bio

i thought that the two worlds were still separate?

I would not take into consideration Countdown and Death of the new Gods Grant Morrison wrote Final Crisis before both of those series so he didn't really ignore them as he wrote those stories before hand.

I am surprised Gman did not mention that it was implied that the Source is the reason superpowers exist in the DCU.

@johnny spam: Time limits man. This was a crazy one for me to take on. Half way through prepping, I was gonna bale but I'm not a quitter.

It goes more back than just Death of the New Gods it stems into Starlin's Cosmic Odyssey..also Countdown, does anyone take Countdown serious? not even Rip Hunter does.

Also this is about The Source Wall not so much the Source itself, or it'd be acknowledged that Synnar the Demiurge create the Source too.
#27 Posted by FoxxFireArt (3549 posts) - - Show Bio

I can just see Superman pulling a Ronald Reagan. "Darkseid, tear down this wall."

#28 Posted by Riezner (417 posts) - - Show Bio

Don't need the Source to know the answer to the universe. It's 42.

#29 Posted by NXH (1031 posts) - - Show Bio

That was one of the best 3 min expert videos so far. Good one, G-Man! =]

How about one on Daken in the near future?

@Zniperking:  I usually try to plan the next 2 or 3 to stay on top of these. Editing takes some time and Joey has other videos to edit. I'm open to suggestions/requests but they might not happen immediately.

The DC Deities (New Gods, Darkseid) were never something I enjoyed that much, aside from Final Crisis, you could talk alot longer than 4 minutes about this topic.

Countdown to Final Crisis, what a disappointment that was,

#40 Posted by ComicCrazy (1537 posts) - - Show Bio

wow good video but soooo confusing.
#41 Posted by kennybaese (1102 posts) - - Show Bio

Yep, still have no idea how half of the New Gods stuff works. It is way crazy.

#42 Posted by Jotham (4564 posts) - - Show Bio

#43 Posted by Zniperking (281 posts) - - Show Bio

#46 Posted by G-Man (30696 posts) - - Show Bio
@Jotham:  Psh, that was nothing. Plus he says it phonetically in that issue. :)

@Zniperking: Superboy would be good. And I assume you mean Conner Kent.

#49 Posted by Zniperking (281 posts) - - Show Bio
@G-Man: yes Conner Kent
