Grace battles with Rainier and is forced to confront her friend Mooncrest who is under Rainier's control. Vinn and Dex continue to battle Rainier's minions. Zanis and King Ornoth come to assist in the battle against Rainier. Grace destroys the staff the Rainier had been using to control the dragons, forcing him to fight the dragons that he had been controlling.
After Rainier had fled, everyone goes off to deal with the loss of magic in their own way
