Sophie Cuckoo

History

When the Stepford Cuckoos were known as the Five-In-One, Sophie was their leader and most dominant personality. They were all students of the Xavier Institute following the destruction of Genosha and the employment of Emma Frost. Because of their personalities, appearance, and telepathy, Emma took special notice to them and they were known as "her girls" (at this time no one knew they were her genetically engineered "daughters").

They were the top of their class with their only serious rival being Quentin Quire. Sophie was also the object of Quentin's affections (he referred to her as the 'pretty one' despite their obvious identical nature).

Sophie, however, loathed Quentin and during the Riot of Xavier Institute's opening day, Sophie convinced her sisters to battle Quentin. She lead the assault, amplifying her power with Cerebra and won the battle but at the cost of her life.

Quentin then evolved into a sentient collective of psionic energy. When the Phoenix returned to earth, her reconstituted himself into a more physical form and sought out the Phoenix in order to resurrect Sophie.

He went to far as to exhume her body and restructure it partially, flying it all the way to Phoenix on an icy glacier. When Sophie was resurrected she voiced her disgust of Quentin and willed herself dead again.
