I thought it was pretty much accepted by fans that Sonic hasn't really been good for years now. 
 
I personally don't like any Sonic, btw, just going by observations.

The only I've ever played is the original one from 1990 or 1991, it was on the Sega Genesis. Sonic & Mario Olympic games were good.

After the Sonic Adventure series, Sonic started going downhill but Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Sonic: Colors were actually pretty good. I myself actually lost interest in Sonic because of how crappy his games were and because I wanted Sega to make games for some of my other favorite franchises that haven't had a game in years. I started getting back into Sonic a few months ago by playing some of the classic Genesis games and the good 3D games. I also started reading the Sonic comic series by Archie which is pretty good as well. I hear many Sonic fans who hate most games nowadays read the comics instead.

I used to love sonic my favorite is sonic adventure battle 2, but after directors cut to me the games began to lose their edge, the battle system and voice acting has really lost its edge.

Sonic colors was really good i guess sonic is really coming back out from that hard time. 
But,if the put in characters from the comics like Enerjak or the D.E.L it make the games much better.

Out of all the Sonic games made I only seem to like the old ones
 
Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD, Sonic Spinball
 
Sonic 4 is ok i guess but not spectacular. I didn't play Sonic Colors but want to try it.
 
Sonic Adventure is eh but I guess it was cool when the Dreamcast was new.

I think they're gonna make good games now...

I liked the older Sonic games that came from Sega Genesis, but I agree that after Sonic Adventure 2 came out, the games got really bad although I haven't played Sonic Colors or Sonic 4 yet.

Sonic Generations is coming out in just 2 days.... I can't wait any longer....
