Plot Summary
A single 14-page comic book released to promote the release of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive.
The book supposedly covers the origins of the blue hedgehog's fight against the evil Dr. Robotnik, though the story varies wildly from any other telling of Sonic's story, in which a brown, quilled Sonic is transformed into his blue, spiky self when he breaks the sound barrier on a treadmill within the laboratory of Dr. Kintobor, a kind old scientist who is transformed into the evil Dr. Robotnik when one of his machines malfunctions.
The story ends on a cliff-hanger, offering to readers that "The action continues on your Sega Genesis video game system! Play Sonic the Hedgehog and live the adventure!!!"
Both story and art were done by Francis Mao.
