    Breakin' Some Eggs

I remember glancing at this back when it came out. Managed to pick me slightly up to speed with what's going on in the comic, as I stopped reading it 100 issues ago. Even worse, I finally learned that the comic even existed back around 90.

    So...yeah.

Anyway, as one should expect, it's an action packed one-on-one showdown between or favorite mad scientist and blue rodent. Each taunting each other with they're previous victories, but Sonic, the smart-alec he is, has so much more to gloat about when it comes to victories. But even still, Robotnik isn't giving up.

After screaming the classic line "I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!" at his defeat, something has changed. The doctor literally tears off his glorious mustache and throws a violent fit at the air, shouting broken gibberish while doing so. Something isn't right.

We learn through Snively that this was the last defeat Eggman could take, as his genius intellect couldn't stand the fact that
his carefully orchestrated plans always fall to pieces thanks to a talking animal, and his grip on sanity has been deteriorating with each defeat. At last, he finally broke.

The Freedom Fighters are now celebrating their new victory, but Sonic can't even crack a smile. He may have defeated Robotnik, but in doing so he's broken the doctor's mind. He wasn't expecting for it to end like this.

This is a very good issue, I must say. The expressions and poses are excellent, and they successfully used a very liberal page layout that never took away from clarity. The story itself took a very nice turn and also reintroduced a new main villain. A very nice comic.
