Smoker

Bio

 
Smoker first appeared in Lougetown, trying to track down Monkey D. Luffy because of the bounty on Luffy's head. After finding him, he changes into his smoke form to attack. Luffy is soon defeated, but another Marine interferes with Smoker's attack. Smoker returns to the Government's building with his subordinate, Tashigi. He later is seen trying to gain passage to the New World. He confides in a fellow Admiral a message that he has for Luffy. However, the Admiral dosen't pass on the message, stating that it was too stupid.
 
Smoker is always smoking two cigars in his mouth, as he isn't affected by the negative effects of nicotine. He is skilled in unarmed combat, and has fought Portgas Ace to a standstill. He carries a sword that is tipped with Seastone. It was given to him by the Marines. He calls Seastone a "solid type of the sea", meaning that it can hurt Devil Fruit users. Smoker has to wear a heavy coat to avoid having his sword hurt him as well as his targets.
 
Although he is a Marine loyal to the World Government, he shows himself to have his own moral code. He allows the Straw Hat Pirates to escape because Zoro had saved Smoker from drowning. This clashes with the World Governments view on criminal actions.
 

Powers

 
Smoker ate the Moki Moki no Mi, or Plume Plume Fruit. It gave him the power to control and become smoke. He can alter his density to let him hold things with his smoke tendrils. He can change his clothes along with him, but can't 
change his Seastone tipped sword because of its resistance to Devil Fruit powers.
