This is something i kept asking myself while watching the film.

Exactly how big would you say Smaug is(in terms of feet) in the films?

I would guess from 150-200 feet long with the tail.

Yeah. Sounds right to me. Maybe as high as 300.

His head has to be 20-30 feet alone

He was pretty big dude. Remember how big the entrance to Erebor was? Smaug was practically that tall. And he's much longer than he is tall

@fallschirmjager: he was big but you know the Eiffeltower is tall but him being almost three times that lenght no no that doesn't seem right

In length, I think its possible. His tail is probably the entire length of the rest of his body.

@attatje: A meter is roughly 3 feet. So 300 feet is about 100 meters.

The Eiffel tower is 324 meters tall so Smaug should be about a third of the height of the tower.
