Smallville Series Finale
I'm kind of bummed out actually. I'm most likely going to try to tune in September for a next season and to my dismay, nothing will appear... :(
" Who is pumped about this?? "<----------------- That guy over there, he loves that show, I don't know why he loves it cause the last 3 seasons sucked.

" @King Saturn said:ah... a Legion spinoff... that would be very awesome..." got it on DVR... cant wait "Same here! Looking forward to see what happens. I wonder will he finally wear the suit AND....since Kara went off to the future to hang with the Legion...maybe a Legion spin off could be in the works...that would be awesome "
" @Kurrent said:Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes...LOL...they can get a young cast like CW likes to do with there shows plus we will all have our superhero fix...WIN WIN" @King Saturn said:ah... a Legion spinoff... that would be very awesome... It's finally here. Just as I predicted many years ago, the show would end when Clark finally becomes Superman.
" It's finally here. Just as I predicted many years ago, the show would end when Clark finally becomes Superman. "Lmao, so we have a psychic now.
I'm going to miss the last episode because it runs through my work schedule. Life is unfair and I hope I die till the boxset comes out.
It was awesome, but given the budget I think they did a great job.
The way he defeated Darkseid was unimpressive, considering the fact that Darkseid has always been more than a match for Superman. When flew through him like that, I just shook my head. I expected to see a battle of epic proportions somewhere within a two-hour episode (which was a disappointment, since Clark hasn't had an epic battle since the Combat episode in season six, when he fought Titan). Instead, I watched two hours of a jumbled plot just to see Clark finally learn to fly (something he should have learned several seasons ago) and move a planet. The final episode was completely rushed.

I'm not buying that Smallville Clark has the physical strength to move planets(much less anywhere close to as fast as he did it when he was clearly visible to the people below) or fly through Darkseid(Even if it's smallville Darkseid) as if he was paper.
I quite enjoyed the finale. Granted, it had it's flaws, but it's a TV series...come on, give it a break ;-)
I thought it was a fitting ending that tied things up nicely. I'm more than pleased to see him fly and wear the suit (after 10 yrs of dedicated waiting!).
I'll always love Tom Welling as Clark Kent. He looked and acted the part so well. Even though he wasn't as commanding (in presence and attitude) as the commonly-thought-of Superman, you could see it coming out. He was very good at showing the phasing-into-Superman stage of Clark. And Erica Durance was just the coolest Lois :-) She always made me laugh.
*sigh* but all good things must come to an end... there wasn't much they could add into the "in between'" any more, especially with a Superman trilogy coming out soon.
My hat's off to the cast for doing so well for so long. Love Superman ;-)
IGN.com gave the Finale a 9.5 out of 10. LMFAO @ that. The WB must have paid them just to get that rating.
Well, considering IGN gives great games and movies 7.5 half the time I'm fine with that lol
BTW, Clark clearly moved "a planet" as it was confirmed to be Apocalypse which is a planet....and it was DS but in Lionels' body, Superman and DS have kicked each others ass over time

Agreed, I was very pleased with it considering it's a TV show under a limited budget which people forget. Yeah, her lois is the best IMO up there with Kidders. I HATED Bosworth's lois from Returns, horrible job IMO and seemed more "bitchy I hate Superman for leaving" rather then the normal Lois.....
To be fair, the series wasn't incredibly great to begin with. Tom Welling wasn't much of an actor and put on too much weight, a lot of core DC characters were introduced too early in Clark's life, plus he took only a few classes in community college and yet somehow became an ace reporter. I knew things went wrong with the re-imagining of Krypto, Metallo and the Wonder Twins. Lois and Chloe never shut up.
Amazing, I reviewed it on screened: http://www.screened.com/finale/18-614665/user-reviews/?review_id=4176
It was awesome, but given the budget I think they did a great job.It sort of reminded me of Superman Returns.I noticed you didn't see Clark/Superman fully in the suit but shots of him, the way he saved the plane was neat and such!Loved how he just flew right thru Darkseid lol And the fact that he moved the planet of Apocalypse into space, clearly proves like they confirmed last year in the JL show that this is the SA Superman, he did it effortlessly.I hope they use Welling in the future JL movie, please something!!

I've watched this show since the very First Episode and I have to say the pollen count in my living room went thru the roof when Tom put the suit on and took off flying thru the Fortress! Awesome way to end the series and I'm damm glad it got 10 years on the WB/CW no other network would have let it go that long! Thank you to the cast and crew for a great show!
I think it went out on a high note. Smallville's never been known for its "epic" battle scenes so I wasnt expecting a big bow out against Darkseid. I will say I'm a little disappointed at the lack of actual hero cameo's. Would have liked to see the JLA but thats minor. Overall I enjoyed it. Tear in eye at the end, not gonna lie.
@cascadeking09 said:Yeah that was cool. If he ever plays Superman he'll have to do some more working out, because every time I see him with his shirt off he doesn't really look muscular.@MKF30 said:The suit was from Superman Returns, but the plane scene kind of reminded me of it but loved the fact that he just pushed the entire planet of apocalypse into space invading Earth. I wonder what Tom Welling is going to do next... He's only been in very few movies throughout his career and Smallville took up the majority of it. I wonder where he'll go from here.
