Sylvester Permiton was the original wartime hero the Star-Spangled Kid. Trapped in Limbo for decades, he would return to make the team of J.S.A prodigies Infinity Inc. Sylvester took the name Skyman to recreate his image by soon after Infinity Inc. disbanded he was killed. The second Skyman, Jacob Colby, was granted the power of flight by Luthor's Everyman Project. Colby joined Luthor's new Infinity Inc. under the name Skyman. Colby was also killed like his predecessor.

Justice Society Of America

The Justice Society of America is a group set in the DC Universe and is considered the first ever super-group in comics, being introduced in 1940. The original Skyman was a member under the name the Star-Spangeled Kid.
