Broadsword Comics publication. The first issue depicts the adventures of Tarot a witch of the Order of the Black Rose who fights against the forces of darkness, namely her sister, Raven Hex. This story continues for about ten or so issues and then the series makes its first significant change as it switches to throwing in some new characters and becoming a lot of one-shot issues where Raven, Tarot and Jon often work together to defeat a common foe or something to that effect. Then Azure enters the title and adds another great story arc only for the story to revert to one-shots again for a couple issues, including one crossover with the 3 Kittens. Azure once again comes into the title to make another story arc, the last one that revolves around the original story of the series. Then there are a series of one-shots again as the series makes another transition, into new art, story lines and just a general theme to it all.

When many people think of this series they think of the pornography and some won't read it solely for that reason but that is why I will give a breakdown of the actual content. First off, in the first few issues, there is no actual "private parts" seen, which makes for some amusing cover-ups in Issue 5. As the series progresses and introduces such characters as Boo, leading to more sexual scenes and nudity but even then it is still usually just used for humor. Then the story becomes back to the way it originally was, but at the same time it should be expected to see quite a bit of nudity and sexual poses and ideas for the story arcs in which Azure appears. Finally, the comic becomes what most think of it as, but it must be understood, that the nudity is always explained in the comic and coincides with the story, sometimes humorously, sometimes realistically, other times not so much but at least its still is explained.
