Siri

Origin

Siri was a Skrull warrior who was also a member of the Dard'van sect. She was tasked with the mission of infiltrating and spying on Earth under the guise of the assassin Elektra as a means to test if anyone on Earth could detect that she was a Skrull. Due to the success of the mission, she was deployed again to defeat and capture the real Elektra and take her place on Earth.

Creation

Siri was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Jimmy Cheung and first appeared in The New Avengers #40.

Character Evolution

Much confusion exists over Siri, many mistakenly identifying her as the Skrull Elektra who featured heavily in The New Avengers. The Mighty Avengers #16 reveals that that Elektra was a Skrull called Pagon who took Siri's mission after she died. Despite this, many people erroneously acredit Siri as the Skrull Elektra. Not particularly helped since Skrulls! one-shot gave Siri a profile before it was established she wasn't the Elektra imposter who led the Hand. The two can be told apart by outfit; Siri wears black whereas Pagon wears red.

Major Story Arcs

Secret Invasion

Siri tracked down Elektra and engaged her in a fight. Holding her own for a while, Siri was eventually killed by Elektra when she was pierced through the chest with a sai. Subsequent Skrulls were sent to avenge Siri and capture Elektra, and when one known as Pagon succeeded, he became Elektra himself to fulfill Siri's mission.

Powers and Abilities

Siri is able to shapeshift and underwent a process to make her undetectable by magic or science. She is a skiller combatant and also has various other powers, mostly mimicked from human superheroes (such as Cyclops' optic blasts, Thing's muscles or Wolverine's claws).
