Sinestro 2814, who should he/she be?

#1 Posted by Sinestro2828 (1515 posts) - - Show Bio

Hi, I think this topic was brought up before but its so fun I think it deserves to be discussed again >:3

Anywho, who would you like to see inherit the Sinestro Corps power ring of Sector 2814?  This could be either an already existing villain in the DC universe like Joker or Scarecrow or even a lesser known villain who you think deserves a bigger role in DC, etc, etc or you could name the sort of person you'd like to see inherit the yellow ring if you'd rather see a brand new baddie altogether (like a crime lord or an assassin or a serial killer, etc).

theres all kinds of people i would like to see with at least a temporary power ring

Just to make it easier on all parties lets just say i would like to see every character given a week with a power ring

It's so annoying loving Batman as much as I do, because you always want him to get a power upgrade (like a Sinestro Corps ring) so people like Clark and Diana will stop looking down on him, but then he's THE non-powered hero, and I'd rather that not change either.

Other than the Bat;

When do Diana and Kal-El look down on Bruce? They only look down on him when he has crossed the line, other than that they look to him as their equal

It's not usually blatant, but you can tell. Every now and then, they'll threaten him or gloat about their powers. For Tomorrow and Hiketeia are instances of this.

99% of the time they treat him with respect, but that 1% you can tell that they think they're better than him. They also get really ticked off when he owns them.

@FadeToBlackBolt:
ive never read the second one you neamed but i didnt think the first one was cannon. I remember what you ment from For Tomorrow now tho. I think he belittles them much more then they do to him. He resents them for having their powers and abilities and not using every ounce of their power to stopping crime. He has plans to take down each one of them even tho they are his closest friends. HE shows he tacticle smarts (which isn't a bad thing) and makes hastey decisions with out there knowledge or behind their backs. He is the reason for "Brother Eye" and the O.M.A.C.S.

The most powerful superhero on earth went to Batman on fighting techniques, the speaks volumes on how much they respect him. That should be a blow to Diana. Even she looks to him when engaging an opponent and she comes from land where all they learn is to fight it seems like.

All true, (I think FT isn't canon any more because it was so terrible), and I understand what you're saying, but I mean, you'd have to have ways to stop them. It's the responsible thing to do. He does resent them, but they know that he always respects them, and he doesn't look down on them. Sometimes they just tick him off lol. I often think that whilst Batman may be a tad harsh, the respect is always there. I think the powered community forget that sometimes, which is only natural.

Which is kinda why I'd like Bruce to get a Yellow Ring and kick their brains in :D

The Joker should get the ring, despite having no powers people are terrified of him in general

@FadeToBlackBolt:
yea he would probably lose control like he did when he got Superman's powers

Nah! They love him!
#23 Posted by Eyz (3095 posts) - - Show Bio
@-Eclipse-: Oh, yeah. I've read those issues, I remember that.
But the idea was that Scarecrow could actually keep his ring! Become official "Sinestro Corps of Sector 2814".
That would give a nice twist to the character, just what he needed. Like Riddler turning into a "good guy" detective, Tim becoming Red Robin, etc..

Ugh, isn't that from Superman/Batman? Yeah, that series fails on levels normally associated with Hulk by Jeph Loeb.

I think I can see joker as a yellow lantern for a good amount of time sure. How about the shark, evil star to even a new lantern villain.

yea it was from Superman/Batman. What do you mean it fails on levels normally associated with hulk?
#28 Posted by FadeToBlackBolt (23334 posts) - - Show Bio
@DEGRAAF: Hulk by Loeb (aka Red Hulk) sucks. I love Banner/Hulk. I'm not a fan of that Superman/Batman book, which is weird since I love both characters, but I've never liked it. Even from the beginning.
#29 Posted by DEGRAAF (7904 posts) - - Show Bio
@FadeToBlackBolt:
oh i thought you ment like all information and details he has put in to the Hulk Universe. I only pick up Superman/Batman books speratically. Usually only when there is a isolated story in one issue that i think i might like
#30 Posted by Sinestro2828 (1515 posts) - - Show Bio
@joshmightbe:   Joker would make a horrifying Sinestro Corps Soldier, though I imagine Sinestro would be reluctant to let him remain in the corps given his unpredictability

How about Lady Shiva? :D I think she would be one of the greatest lantern with yellow ring and her technique.

Probably. But I like dreaming Shiva with a Qwardian ring.

That's not a bad idea, actually... Onomatopoeia needs Something to work with nowadays..

Batman didnt loose control  it was the price to pay for the super powers. in return for superior power he would loose what made him so great his brilliant mind.Sort of like the corrupt a wish game used in forums.

Make a new character..

Joker would be good-I've also heard someone mention Jason todd as a yello lantern but he's more of a red guy...red hair, red hood...red ring..lol

Psycho pirate would be another good candidate for the yellow lantern corps
