It Is How You Play The Game...

    THE GOOD

Again, I love the mix of universes. The method in which they were intertwined was clever as well. I was not very familiar with Impossible Man or "Mixed Pickles" before reading this issue, but their 5th Dimensional mischief added a nice lighthearted feel to the story. In fact, with their involvement, I would almost have to classify this as a parody. Heck, with all those cameos from well known super-characters from both universes during the magic men's "fight", how could it not be a parody? :)

    THE BAD

Not too much "bad" in this story. If you were looking for a serious tale, this certainly would put you off, but with Impossible Man and Mr. Mxyzptlk on the back cover, you likely wouldn't have picked it up in the first place. If I could ask for something, I would have liked to see the story last longer, with more interaction between the super-heroes.

    THE VERDICT

Read it. It was a quick and fun read. Lots of great art with a solid story. I really enjoyed seeing Silver Surfer's powers explored in a new way (more powerful than usual) - like when he could modify the look of Impossible Man, resizing the shrunken Metropolis, or scaring off the Skrulls with but a look. It was also nice to see him get a fair shake from people he saved. As far as Superman was concerned, it is always nice to see the "better than human" humanity shine through as he and Silver Surfer worked together to remedy the fallout of this "game".
