    Hello all.

I haven't read comics in many years, but my brother just decided to stash his Silver Surfer collection at my house due to spacial issues in his own abode. I have no idea where to start. This is what he has:

    • Complete volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4.
    • Four graphic novels: Ultimate Cosmic Experience, Judgment Day, Enslavers, Homecoming
    • About 7 or 8 "annuals"

I don't know if I'd wanna start way from the beginning. I'd like to start in a newer era. Couple questions:

    1. Are there "reboots" at any point in the four volumes, or is it one continuous storyline?
    2. I take it the graphic novels and annuals can be read independently from the volumes given you know the basics of the character?
    3. There's also volume 5 and 6 out now, correct?

Other comments that could be useful would be appreciated. Can't wait to get started.

the best place to start any series is with the first issue now just wich volume to startr with. i would start with volume 2 just because that is where i started to read silver surfer. this is where he escapes earth and starts to explore the universe and its his longest runing series.

volume 3 is only 14 issues and afetr volume 3 he just has mini series.

I could've sworn Vol. 2 was only ONE issue and Vol. 3 was massive (like you describe Vol. 2), and then Vol. 4 is 14 ... guess that "one issue vol. 2" is not right.

    Thanks.
