Overview

The Silver Surfer delves alone into the furthest depths of the void; tangling with organ-stealing pirates, demonic beasts and a race of alien aristocrats. Everyone's favorite Cosmic Wanderer discovers that even in the midst of a galactic utopia, horror is never far away...

With electrifying artwork by the dynamic Tan Eng Huat (Doom Patrol, Batman) and an endlessly inventive script by Simon Spurrier - the writer behind the sold-out Gutsville - In Thy Name promises to be this fall most spectacular Alien Extravaganza!

Summary

Alone in space, the Silver Surfer contemplates the nature and horror of life when he is suddenly attacked. It is a group of Organpirates attempting to capture him and sell his parts. But before the Surfer retaliates, the pirates retreat. He is soon invited on to a massive ship that has scared the pirates away.

Inside he meets Ruqtar Koil, a member of the Ama Collective, a peaceful organization that lets other planets and races join them in hopes of creating a Utopia. The Surfer is brought to Ama-Prime, a paradise and homeworld to the Collective, to meet their Empress. After a short stay, they ask the Surfer for his assistance with a 'beast made of ghosts' on the planet Brekknis.

On Brekknis, the beast awakens and starts it's attack as it does everyday. The Surfer challenges it, making the locals believe that he is their savior.
