Betty Barstow worked as a secretary for private eye Dan Hurley. While attending a costume party she stumbled on a crime in progress. She stepped in using her skills of jui-jitsu and delt with the crooks. Enjoying the addenaline rush she decided to become a costume crimefighter known as the Silver Scorpion. Soon after She became a member of the Invaders while fighting a group calling themselves Battle Axis. Then after War World 2 , Betty was recuited by the Penance Council of the V-Battalion.
