Having missed, well, most of the Silent Hill series to date, I was really happy to see the overall quality improve since the last issue I looked at. Which, incidentally, would be Dying Inside #1. Yes, I'm a horrible fan.
Anywho, while I found the overall presentation of Dying Inside to be, well, not quite up to par. I stumbled across Sinner's Reward #4 at my LCS and figured I'd give it another shot, and I can say I'm VERY glad I did. The art work is an awesome recreation of the SH universe, and since the aesthetics are so crucial to the atmosphere of said universe, failure here would be irredeemable.
Of course, I'm pretty much coming in on the last issue so I can't honestly evaluate the story arc. I can say, however, that what I did read has me on a hunt for not only the other three in the series, but past titles as well. This was an excellent issue, and if you're a fan of moody, atmospheric horror you could do a lot worse than picking this up.
