The fight with Thor was kinda disappointing, i agree. But other than that, I enjoyed the issue. Besides Rogers doing nothing at the end of the comic.

The first issue just didn't live up to all the hype it was getting. It seemed like they rushed the issue and forced everything.

It didn't but the dialogue was good enough for me atleast for now. I know Thor isn't really down and I'm expecting a real Thor and Sentry rematch next issues

Yes, they disappear into the night. Then they are seen in broad daylight attacking Thor alongside the Avengers.

@CATMANEXE: But can't he fly at light speed. The hammers have also been capable of teleportation. I just don't think you should have an invasion on Asgard and he not be there to help defend.

Besides when has being in one comic ever stopped someone from being in another. Wolverine does it all the time xD

@CATMANEXE: My main problem with the battle Thor just had with Norman and company is how easily they took him down. While a good amount of those people all attacked him while he was fighting Bor and he considered them little more than a nuisance.

I have to apportion some of the blame to the editors. This is a huge event, and the very first issue has printing and continuity errors.

I only saw one mess up and it was done AFTER it was approved and went to print, nothing they could do, Thor isn;t "Taken down" he's merely on the ground, which happens every flipping time he fights

Which mess up did you see? I'd be happy to point out another. Also, it is explicitly stated on panel that Thor has been taken down.

@Korg: The news media say that "We have received word. Thor is down"

While he is down on the ground, he's not dead or knocked out, he's laying bloody and getting up as we see in the Siege #2 preview. This happens every time Thor fights, as it does with Wolverine and Ares. Brawl + Brawlers = Bloody fights in which people get knocked to the ground.

Not saying he's not down on the ground, just that he's not down and out of the fight

He's been taken down... to the ground. That is what "taken down" means. I'm also interested to know how you can tell he is still conscious.

@Korg:  In the Book (the story not the back matter) I didn't catch any.

Only the Media states that, and all we have to do is look at the previews or read the interviews or twitter feeds or have a basic knowledge of the story arc to understand he is of course not down and out of the fight, merely down for a moment which happens often

@Korg: First, I guess I should have worded that better, what I mean is it's not like they killed him, you can see him raising his hand in the preview, and a punch from Norm isn;t going to knock him out, Norms a pansy and we've seen what Thor does with Norm before, so a hit, yes a good one, but just a hit, this isn;t like OMG NORM JUST KILLED THOR Lol I'm just saying don;t over react.

Thor is very clearly "down" in the panel you posted. He is getting bailed out by an RPG. I never said they killed Thor. Obviously they didn't, as this entire event centers around him.

I have no idea what most of this means. I was just correcting you when you said that Thor wasn't "taken down", which he clearly was. You seem to realize this, so I'm not sure where the "don't make a thing out of it" comment comes from.

@Fresh Prince: That's what I said. He's only in this for his kid at this point, he doesn;t like the fight, and if you watch his face in these two panels he's looking around like, "what the crap am I doing?"

Unless he pulls out his secret weapon. Which doesn't suprise me, Ares already didn't like Norman's plan, so him turning on him sounds about right, plus I like Ares, he's not dumb and is doing his best to fight for good.

I'm wondering the same thing. In issue #2 an Avenger dies. On the cover Sentry is holding a bloody skull, Ares looks like he might change sides and with good reason, so then.... Does Sentry Murder Ares his one time Avenger teammate?

Yeah, but with how #60 left off, Norman told the Hood's gang that they have to kill the New Avengers. I think the next issue (#61) is on Cap (Steve), at least I hope it is.
