The Amazing Spider-Man: Siege Spider-Man finally get's his chance to fight Venom, Mac Gargon.    What You Need To Know Venom has been one of the villains during Dark Reign posing as a hero.  With Norman Osborn laying Siege upon Asgard, the real heroes have decided it's time they intervene once and for all.  With Norman exposed Mac Gargon leaves Asgard and hits the streets, where Spider-Man is about to let him know how he feels about his tenure as "Spider-Man"   The Good Brian Reed delivers a sol...

    Review: Siege: Spider-Man 0

Spider-Man and Venom finally go mano-a-mano in brawl that drops down into Oklahoma and quickly draws Ms. Marvel in.THE GOODClose to 90% of Spider-Man's adventures have him spouting off "jokes" that aren't actually funny. Reed has made Spidey funny here and that's not to be understated. Even Venom and Ms. Marvel get some funny turns, as well, with the zingers keeping a good rhythm with the fisticuffs. I liked Carol's "Gordian Knot" solution to getti...

    That Doesn't Even Look Like Gargan-Venom 0

The "Siege" one-shots continue this week. Last week's efforts were a bit lackluster. I'm hoping the Spider-Man/Venom match is better.THE GOOD- One major mistake aside, Santucci's pencils are nice.- Continuity mentions always get a mention from me. This has some references to "Sinster Spider-Man" and "Dark Reign"- The Venom fight takes an unexpected turn.- Spider-Man has some nice characterization about him and the Avengers.THE BAD- Don't tease me, Marco Santucci! I know that's Gargan-Venom! Even...

    Venom's Favorite Super Hero 1

SIEGE: SpidermanThis is the Spiderman that I have been waiting to see again. Reed did an excellent job capturing the essence of the character in this issue. I was glad to see the Peter Parker was at the same stage as I was questioning his role with the Avengers. I never thought he really fit into the team, and didn’t care much for the way his character was handled through much of the New Avengers title. I know he is sticking around, but I hope they can give us more moments like we had in this bo...

Venom Fans, Beware. Everyone Else Too. 1

This issue was just painful.  Brian Reed writes a good, funny Spider-Man. This is the end of the positive things I have to say about this issue.  Did anyone working on this book know anything about Venom? It starts with the artist depicting the Eddie Brock version of Venom for the whole issue but doesn't end there. Ms. Marvel separates Gargan from the symbiote in such a simple and dumb way that it flies in the face of nearly every previous Venom story that treats the bond between host and symbio...

    Pure action 0

This issue deals with a big fight between Spider-Man and Venom. From times to times Ms. Marvel also joins the fight. Furhtermore we get to know that Ms. Marvel seems to have some feelings for Spider-Man. That´s not something strange since they dated in Ms. Marvel # 47.  This issue was just one big fight and because it was done well, I loved it! It was very cool to see Spider-Man cracking jokes in the middle of the fight. Ms. Marvel had to figt Venom more than in one way and I thought it was grea...
