    The Story:
Five one-shot issues that tie-in to the Siege event.

    My Thoughts:

Each issue has a different creative team and they each focus on the characters involvement in the siege of Asgard. It's not an essential read but it does shed insight for characters involved in the war and showcases other roles they played during that time.

My favorite part was the issue relating to Spider-Man. The reason why I enjoyed it so much was that the writer continued to develop and focus on the relationship of Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. I thought it was pretty cool when Ms. Marvel ripped Mac Gargan out of the symbiote and became its next host inadvertently. During the course of this fight Spider-Man finds out from the symbiote that Ms. Marvel has feelings for him. I really wouldn't mind seeing these two characters get together. It would make complete sense and could work perfectly since they're both superheroes.

The issue about Captain America didn't impress me a whole lot. It had good qualitites to it such as the team up of Steve and Bucky. They face a second rate villain though so it's not as if it's an epic fight by any means. Nevertheless it was nice to see them team up once again. Having two characters dressed in Captain America costumes in the same panel is definitely something I wouldn't want to see on a regular basis. This time made complete sense as Steve just barely returned recently. I'll be glad when there's only one hero wearing the Captain America mantle at a time.

The Young Avengers issue was average at best. It focuses mostly on Patriot and Kates relationship as well as Wiccan and Hulkling's. Honestly I was entertained by Wiccan and Hulkling's dialogue. It's not because they're gay or anything, but I didn't find it that invigorating. At least Patriot and Kate were trapped in a near death situation as they were underneath the ruins of Asgard. Their emotional reactions to the situation felt more realistic and meaningful. Unfortunately Cassie and Vision weren't a part of the issue.

The Secret Warriors issue focuses on Phobos and his reaction to his fathers death. I was actually not impressed with the issue. I love their series but this issue was kind of boring. Phobos heads to the White House and kills a bunch of agents. It was kind of pointless really.

Loki's issue was solid as he manipulates Norman Osborn and makes a deal with Memphisto and Hela. This was also collected in Siege: Thor as well.

The art for the most part was pretty solid. With five different artists we get five different styles. The standout issues were the Spider-Man and Young Avengers issues. The art quality was superb in these. Unfortunately it was only satisfactory in the Captain America and Secret Warriors issues.

Not a must read but it is a quick and mildly entertaining read. I would really only recommend it if you're a big fan of any of these characters involved in it.

    Rating: 3/5
