    Sid Burgon began his career as a freelance cartoonist in 1963. It was in 1970 when he got his big break working on Whizzer and Chips. He soon moved on other Fleetway titles such as Knockout, Jackpot, Buster and Whoopee. He later drew Adrian the Barbarian and Biffo the Bear along with several other popular characters for D.C. Thomson before retiring in the early 2000's.
