Man-Bat
To get away from humanity, Man-Bat Kirk Langstrom has fled to Mexico, and is living in an ancient Mayan temple. A team of hunters, led by a Dr. Fletcher, has come to trap the Man-Bat and return him to his wife, Francine Langstrom. They confront Man-Bat, and one of the party members, Simmons takes things too far. Man-Bat kills Simmons, and the rest of the party leave to tell Francine that Kirk is truly dead.
Black Condor – The Tempting, Part 2: The Hard Place
The Black Condor is again attacked by the entity calling itself the Peregrine, but this time while possessing the Condor’s friend Ned Smith. The Condor uses his telepathy to enter Ned’s mind, and force the Peregrine from his friend.
Starfire – Shadows of the Soul
Starfire is flying over New York City while thinking about her homeworld Tamaran. She comes across a hostage situation, where an irate husband is holding his wife and children at gunpoint. Starfire intervenes, and talks the man into surrendering; however, the police accidentally shoot the husband. Starfire heals the dying husband using the powers of Raven. Confused, she decides it is time to return home to Tamaran to find her destiny.
