During his time with MI-6 he stole one of the exoskeletons and left the organization declaring imself an independent being called Shockwave. During his earier adventures being Shockwave, he was apart of the Oriental Expediters and the Golden Dagger Sect. He soon moved from those organizations to become one of SHIELD Deltites. Over a coarse of many years he has become friends and an ally to many crinimal master minds including Zaran, Razor Fist, Fah Lo Suee, Tarrant/Griswold, Fu Manchu and Brynocki. He has faced the hero named Shang-Chi on several occasions even though Shang-Chi after fighting a dupicate Shockwave made by the famous Doctor Doom. He was once involved in a terrorist plot in Londn but was stopped by Union Jack.

Civil War:

During Civil War he was one of many supervillains who were going to leave the country,but they were arested by Heroes for Hire. Lancaster soon became one of the registered villains during this time period.
