Shiba Tatsuya is a Course Two (Weed) Student in First Magic High School. Tatsuya is an enigmatic individual hiding his true abilities to those around him, he say that he is striving to become a Magic Engineer but in truth, he is already an accomplished one being the other half of Taurus Silver.
As for his magical abilities, he is a part of the military at age 13 and dubbed as a magician compared to a Tactical Weapon.
Appearance
Often seen in his First High Uniform without the school's emblem being categorized as Course 2 Student (WEED). Tatsuya by anime protagonist standard could be described as plain. He stands 175 cm, his body is well built for his size and not overly muscular.
Personality
Tatsuya seems very stoic and unfeeling, but he is very sensitive when it comes to his younger sister.
Power and Abilities
Since the age of six, Tatsuya has trained under the renowned ninja/martial artist Kokonoe Yakumo. Because of this, even without the use of magic Tatsuya can easily incapacitate his enemies in close-range fights. Thanks to his extensive tenure under Yamuko, the student has become the master and Yamuko has admitted that even he couldn't match Tatsuya without using magic to fortify himself during their sparring matches.
Tatsuya also has the power to harness his chi in order to sense presences that normal people would not easily notice.
When applying to get into First Magic Highschool, the school decides your class based on your innate MCA speed (Magic Calculation Area). Because Tatsuya's innate MCA is rather low, he was placed into the Weed's class (the secondary class). Even though he has recieved this placement, he actually has the Highest Psion count out of all discovered characters in this series.
Tatsuya is extremely intelligent and is able to read the activation sequence of a magic spell and recreate its raw code in reverse in order to cancel the spell. By visualizing the spell's activation codes, Tatsuya is able to bypass them completely and "Flash Cast" spells without having to wait at all.
He has been able to cast many spells such as Gram Demolition, a spell that compresses his psion particles to destroy activation sequences, Resonate, a spell that shoots two Psion waves that collide with each other just as they pass through someone, incapacitating said person, and Decomposition, an ability dissolves all matter and energy, even light.
Tatsuya's most impressive ability is his Restoration Ability. Because of Tatsuya's genius, he can make "Backups" of himself in his mind. Whenever his body is in critical condition, he just needs to think a certain thought and his physical body is restored to the state it was at during that back-up. Because of this, even when Tatsuya should be on the verge of death, he can instantly restore himself to a saved point in the past.
