    Sherlock Holmes » 1 issues

Volume » Published by DC Comics. Started in 1975.

This comic (which is a one time thing, as it was canceled after its 1st comic) contains two stories from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and adapted by Dennis O'Neil and art by E.R. Cruz. This centers around the great detective's adventure in the "Final Problem" and the "Adventure of the Empty House".

    Short summary describing this volume.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

The first comic in a possible series devoted to Sherlock Holmes and his friends, it was unfortunately canceled after the first one issue. The DC Sherlock Holmes series now rests on a dusty shelf among the other series that could have been.

Although this was the only issue, Sherlock would appear again in The Joker #6 (4/76).

Interestingly, in Doc Savage #1 by Curtis Magazines (an imprint of Marvel), which is dated August of 1975, there is an ad for a Sherlock Holmes comic soon to start at Marvel. It is possible DC used this one-shot to beat Marvel to the punch.
