Bloody Good Film, My Dear Watson! 3
I wasn't sure what to think of when I was about to see this movie but I found out that it was a very proper treat to go see it. In other words I found the film very well done. The movie starts out with Holmes and Watson solving a case and then they stop doing detective work for awhile and Holmes is restless and is bored of not doing detective work. Watson invites him out to dinner with his date because he says he needs to get out. Holmes later enters a boxing match and wins using intellect and m...

Better than expected. 1
I went and saw this movie a while ago and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The acting was really quite good especially Robert Downey Jr he really did glue me to the screen and I didnt want to miss one moment of him, he did an excellent job of Sherlock Holmes. The story itself was fairly good and had a really great ending to wrap up the movie. London really came to life in this movie and really looked excellent. I know that a lot of people saw the trailer and might not like the fact that t...

Bad Boys in Tweed 1
The boys Sherlock Holmes Reviewed I’ll admit it, I’m not a Guy Ritchie fan. I understand that a lot of people adore Lock Stock and Snatch, they were simply not my cup of tea, so when I heard he was doing Sherlock Holmes, it brought about the same kind of vomit inducing reaction as hearing that Russell Crowe is doing Robin Hood. Then the hateful gods of film piled Jude Law in there as well, HORROR, BLASPHEMY, BASTARDS and many other vile expressions were produced in my mind. While not a ha...

Too predictable, quite disappointed 0
I was looking forward to this. But when I finally saw it on blue ray I was disappointed. After about 15 min into the movie I already knew what was going to happen and thought it was just a waste of time. It did drag it self out, the witty/funny lines weren't that funny. However, I did think the acting was very good, I enjoyed the monologue parts where Downey Jr. said his ideas in slow motion then actually took action. Too bad the writing wasn't as good as the actors. 2.5 out of 5 they could have...

Not a Literary Piece 0
I will not trouble you with a breakdown of the plot since you can easily find that at the top of the page. Rather, I will talk about how fans of the great literary works from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle might be a bit let down when they watch this movie. The Good: This movie is full of action and adventure. It can easily stand alone without any references toward the literary works which it is based on. The average movie-goer who loves action movies along with Robert Downey Jr. will be pleased at t...
