    dmstarz's 250 favourite marvel comic covers no95

Mike Mayhew is another of those very skilled artists that is often called upon to produce stunning images of female comic characters, though, due to the skill of his imagery, is not as readily accused of cheesecake as others.  The above is a case in point.  That's not to say that Jen doesn't look sexy in her career lawyer get up - oh, that's a lovely heel - but he seems to be more interested in creating a fun cover rather than one with a scantily clad centrepiece.  And the detail here is brilliant.  Various 'heroes' including Valkyrie and Forbush Man obviously have cases pending.  With her briefcase and glasses, Jen looks all business, but also perhaps there's a nod to Clark Kent.  This concept was obviously one that Mayhew liked as he continued the theme with his next cover - Jen stuck in a lift with Matt Murdock and Howard the Duck.  Great details.
