Introducing Mary
In this issue the Monster society Of Evil comes to life and ultimately proves to be no problem for Captain Marvel. At the same time a huge robot lands in Central Parkthat is controlled by Mr. Mind. Thankfully, Billy Batsons sister seems to have similar powers as him thanks to her being to close to a magical lightening bolt. Only we find her powers come from the female gods of Olympus. One thing I am liking about the art is that Captain Marvels facial expressions retain a glimmer of the innocence that a child Billy Batsons age would have. That added to the fact that Captain Marvel is treated like an entity that has not been freed into the world for years.
There were a couple of choices I did not like. Namely Sivannahs new size. I also had to wonder why Mary Marvel was not allowed to grow up into an adult body like Billy Batson. In the end, this is a good book. It is pure fun that does not try to be anything else.
