sooooo is she permadead? (is that even a thing in comics? haha) It seemed somewhat brushed off like it wasn't a big deal, I thought something of this magnitude would be a bigger deal.... thoughts?

Permadead really never happens. Unless the character dies really early on as part of an origin story, (Uncle Ben) they usually come back somehow. Gwen Stacey is an example of one of a few exceptions, so it's always possible the same will be true for Carter. Only time will tell, (or won't.)
