In the alternate timeline, he was slaughtered by Scorpion during a pursuit for Kenshi. Hsu Hao is as dead as they come now.

Shujinko is the protagonist of Mortal Kombat Deception. He goes through a quest to search for six powerful amulets (Kamidogu), but is deceived by the Dragon King, Onaga. Shujinko used his powers that which he received from the Dragon King himself, and was able to undo the menace that was started by his own hands. Shujinko had indeed defeated Onaga, only to be killed with every other warrior in the final battle of Armageddon.

Albert ''Al'' Francis Simmons sold his soul to Malebolgia, one of the many rulers of the Hell, in order to see his wife Wanda Blake again. Malebolgia had other things in mind for Al and sent him back to earth with no memory as a Hellspawn, one of his soldiers, to do his bidding. After realizing what he had lost, Al swore revenge, and became the vigilante known as Spawn.
