Origin

Shakuyaku, Shakky, is a former pirate that even clashed with the hero of the Marine Vice-Admiral Garp, but she gave up the wild life for the straight and narrow for unknown reasons. She eventually retired into hiding at Sabaody Archipelago to open up a bar called Shakky's Rip-Off Bar. A friend and frequent patron to her establishment was the former first-mate of the Roger Pirates, Silvers Rayleigh. She befriended a former empress of Amazon Lily, Gloriosa; and they took in three young Kuja Amazons who had escaped slavery from the Holy Land Marie Jois under the cruel Celestial Dragons. Gloriosa eventually took Hancock, Sandersonia, and Marigold back to Amazon Lily in the Calm Belt. When Rayleigh was saved from drowning by a child fish-man named Hatchan, he would drop by Shakky's bar to visit, and she always welcomed him.

Though retired, Shakky follows the news on up and coming pirates. Though the names of several rookies stood out in the papers. One crew caught her interest, and more so the captain, Monkey D. Luffy. She admired the trouble he caused without getting innocent people involved. That made her a fan of his.
