Sgt. Rock
Sgt. Rock is a comic book character that first appeared in Our Army At War #81A tough master sargent in World War II, Frank Rock is one of the most popular characters from war comics.
During World War II, Rock fought in the infantry in the U.S. Army. As he progressed, he became very famous in his unit Easy Company. All of their operations occurred in the European areas of the war.
It was said Rock was born in Pittsburgh, where he worked in a steel mill. After Pearl Harbor occurred, he was enlisted as a private, where he was soon promoted as his superiors continued to die in the line of duty. He went from assistant squad leader to squad leader to platoon sergeant. During battle, he would constantly wear two belts of .50 caliber ammunition, which he considered a good luck charm.
Rock was very loyal to his team, despite having a deep loathing for warfare. He would later appear in many more comics, teaming up with the likes of Batman and the Suicide Squad.
