    Horror Comics Done Right

    Severed was a series I will never forget reading. It seems as though Scott Snyder and Scott Tuft have done the impossible by creating such a captivating, horrifying story in a mere 7 issues. Knowing this is the end is a bitter-sweet feeling. I have held my breath through each book and have cringed at the graphic displays in the panels, but I've loved every minute of it. The slow, building suspense makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand tall, and each passing page leaves you wanting more, and this issue is no exception. I'm hoping this isn't the last time the comic world sees Mr. Porter.

      There's absolutely a place in the comics industry and the storytelling world at large for complete stories with a definitive ending in mind, and this series is absolutely great for having that... but it's also terribly saddening to see it end.
