    Good Story, but Not Scary 0

    This issue opens up with an elderly man and woman watching T.V. when the man's grandson brings him a letter that is from an "old friend." The old man, Jack Garron, begins to recall his past, which is where most of the story takes place. It is divided between the experiences of Jack and another teenage boy. Jack has decided to run away in the hopes of finding his biological father, so they can perform together at the Majestic Theatre in Chicago. The other boy, Fredrick, was taken out of an orphan...

    It's a good start. 3

    Review of Severed #1.  The Story: Jack receive's a letter given to him fron his Grandson and he flashe's back to 1916 when to tell ths tory of how he lost his arm.  The Good: It seems one of the themes in this mini-series is appearence's. Porter is a salesman and explains that he has sharp teeth underneath the soft ones. This is plays both ways because he needs to sell things and he needs to be aggressive in order to get paid  but in actuality he has sharp teeth that he uses to kill orphans. Als...

    Silent Creeping... 2

    12 year old Jack Garron sets out on the road to the American dream, but a nightmare lurks in the horizon. The Good This is my first exposure to Attila Futaki's art and I must say I was absolutely blown away by it. He truly captures the atmosphere that Snyder's trying set and his models are so expressive and have so much character. Futaki's truly a gifted storyteller and Snyder/Tuft know just when to kill the dialog and just let his work breathe and speak for itself. Tonally splitting the story...
