I Almost Don't Know What To Say 0

You should read "Siege" #4 before reading this issue. Seriously, go read "Siege" #4. Still here? Last chance to read "Siege" #4 before I spoil it because I have to spoil it to talk about this comic book. Okay, now that all those warnings are out of the way then we can talk about "The Sentry: Fallen Sun." "Siege" #4 shows that the heroes defeat The Sentry/Void, and Thor dumps his body on the sun (until someone revives him and brings him back). THE GOOD:- In a story where many of the characters do...

This is how you write the Sentry, Bendis, you half-wit 3

Thank you, Paul Jenkins! Are you the only person at Marvel who knows how to write him? Well, yes, you are. This is a true expression of what the Sentry was, and what his struggle meant to everyone around him. Guys like the Thing and Tony Stark reckon they have problems? Yeh, not even close. Robert Reynolds was an honest-to-God good human being, who always tried to help others, even when it meant forsaking all he had ever done.   And Siege tried to destory all of that. But Jenkins has persevered,...

    There's Something Funny About A Funeral Being Tone-Dead. 0

Having Paul Jenkins write this issue was a nice touch and very appropriate. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it is a good read.  I've always disliked Jenkins' Sentry, and that's not entirely his fault. It has more to do with the concept of the Sentry. Writing a character who is being retconned into continuity as Marvel's greatest hero is one hell of a challenge to pull off in a way that isn't forced and ridiculous. I don't believe Jenkins was ever up to that challenge. Whenever he tries to portr...

    The Death of Sentry:Siege Epilogue-The Sentry-Fallen Son 1

If you've read this, then you know this is garbage. They finally did it. They finally killed off the Sentry and it sucks. They did nothing but diminish the character of Sentry since he became an Avenger and now everyone's going to act like they are all sad? They some how added Rouge in this in some weird back story we never knew of.Are they desperate to spread her around or what? When I saw this cover and the figure was blacked out. I knew it was Sentry. He's the only Avenger that could die after...

    THE SENTRY: FALLEN SUN(SPOILERS) 0

Spoiler Alert!!! This epilogue of Siege is written by Paul Jenkins and drawn by Tom Raney. In this comic dedicated to the late Sentry, we have some hero's that knew Bob Reynolds the most offer there last words at his funeral. The Fantastic Four are there, also Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, a few X-Men, and his best friend Scout. In this sad issue we see each of these gathered hero's say a few last words about the Sentry. They talk about all the sacrifices he's made for the...

SIEGE: Epilogue.   The Sentry Fallen Sun. There isn’t really anything to spoil here.   The title itself kind of does that by itself.   This issue wasn’t nearly as touching as the Nightcrawler Funeral in Second Coming.   You can’t expect it to be though.   We hardly knew Sentry.   He showed up mysteriously 10 years ago.   (He was supposed to be a forgotten creation of Stan Lee in a marketing gimmick for the knew character, most have called that a hoax.)   The interesting thing about this all fam...

    Everybody loves Sentry... apparently. 0

This is quite possibly the worst character retrofitting I've ever seen. Who cares about Sentry? EVERYONE APPARENTLY!  They all show up to his funeral... in costume... shouldn't they show respect by dressing appropriately? AND THE THING WITH ROGUE MESSES UP EVERYTHING... FOR EVERYONE. This is irrepressible writing. How did no one catch this.   Seriously, screw Sentry. I'm out....
