Amazing series, amazing art and amazing writer. Sure its basically over but this was my favorite Battle for the Cowl tie in. Seeing how much influence has on the DCU is kind of amazing. Catman is considering donning the cowl out of respect and the need for a batman but it was even better hearing Bane hearing Bane killing that idea (also better than seeing Ragdoll in a Robin costume). Bane being the man who broke the bat shows so much respect for him by saying Catman is not worthy of the Batman title. Its kind of cool seeing how much Batman is admired, feared and respected even by villians (reformed or not). Gail Simmone brings so much life to each character and she brings laughs always a plus. For some reason I had Spider-Man's Sinister Six on the brain during this review. I had to edit out all the "Sinisters" I could. Despite this, Secret Six #9 was an enjoyable issue. Even for a Battle For The Cowl tie-in.
Would you ever consider either Catman or Bane as a replacement for Batman? Can the Secret Six be considered "heroes"? Does anyone like Ragdoll or just find the character annoying?

I don't know if anyone writes the bad guys as well as Gail Simone. In this issue Catman, Bane, and Ragdoll spend the night on a job in Gotham City. The return to Gotham gets the guys feeling sentimental and in the end I feel the reader learns a lot about the disparity between DC heroes and it's villians. The dialog is funny, the art is beautiful, and the narrative is solid. Only three of the Secret Six are in the book but I never was left wanting. Great read. I hope there will be more single issue story archs in the future.
