    Secret Twelve

The Good: There is a lot of pretty sweet action here.
The dialogue is amazing. All of the characters have all sorts of varying personality traits and they all interact in interesting ways. Some of them amusing, some of them touching.
There's a nice 'father' 'daughter' moment between Bane and Scandal that's very touching. Another one for Deadshot and Black Alice.
The Wall has some great moments.
King Shark is REALLY stupidly funny.
Dwarfstar gets what's coming to him. Beautifully.

The Bad: This issue is a little anticlimactic. This arc seemed built up to be the big battle between the 2 Secret Six groups, but aside from one skirmish it didn't really happen, and the way they started working together was a little anticlimactic, as was the defeat of the main villain who showed up at the last second.
Black Alice's sudden revelation that she can use her powers was a bit of a weak ass pull.
The whole scene with Giganta and Dwarfstar brings up an odd inconsistency with Titans. Is Giganta Ryan Choi's girlfriend or is it Amanda?

    In Conclusion: 3.5/5
I can see what people love about this series. The dialogue is expertly written. Everyone plays of each other's personalities with such brilliance you can't help but be instantly drawn into everything, and the characters are all really interesting in their own ways. This was sort of a weak way to end the arc, but there were a lot of strengths to it as well. On it's own, it was a great comic, it was just not the best ending to the arc in some ways. Not bad, but not best.

I'll admit my bias right away, I'm a big fan of the Secret Six and Gail Simone. However, with recent issues I've started to lose interest and faith in the characters. I'm really glad I decided to stick around, though, because Simone really managed to collect all the frazzled pieces and stick them back together in a fun and tactful way.  Good Things:  I was really getting sick of Black Alice. I went from liking her (from when she appeared in Birds of Prey) to really finding her irritating (recent...

      Review: Secret Six #28 0

The Secret Six's conflict with its rival outfit comes to a fiery, bloody head instigated by the appearance of Deimos' hideous dragon form.  The Good There's such a diversity of voices in this: from the unnervingly-articulate Bane to the whimsically-foppish Ragdall and the sadistic-but-none-too-bright Dwarfstar, every villain has an immediately-distinct personality. While the action in the Warlord's world delivers the goods (and then some) it's almost just as exciting to see how these big person...
