The original Seven were composed of Shade the Changing Man, Trigon, Black Orchid, Klarion the Witch Boy, Simon Magus, Stiletto and Miss X. Save for Shade, the Seven ended up comitting suicide under strange circumstances.
The Secret Seven are a team composed of Shade the Changing Man, Element Woman, the Enchantress and four as of yet unseen members. When Cyborg calls together a meeting of the heroes of that world, Shade, the Enchantress and the Element Woman attend the meeting, and agree to join the fight against Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
However, Shade's subconscious cracks when put under the threat of the strain of leadership again, and sends out a beacon to his homeworld of Meta, who abduct him. He finds out his M-Vest's new powers, and is ultimately summoned by Enchantress to attempt to rescue her latent June Moon persona.
Secret Seven's base of operation is suspected to be located in Tibet.
