  3. "Challengers of the Unknown" written by Mark Evanier, penciled by Chuck Patton, inked by Bob Oksner, colored by Carl Gafford and lettered by Carrie Spiegle.
  4. "Secrets Behind Secret Origins" 1 column text piece on the history of the Golden Age Fury by Roy Thomas.

Note: The Challengers of the Unknown story satires ABC's "That's Incredible" television show. They use the characters Jimmy and Judy who were based off of John Davidson and Cathy Lee Crosby. A Jacques Cousteau cameo?

As quite often happens in this series when I pick up an issue to read a particular story I end up being more impressed with the other half of the issue more.  That was the case here.  In the new 52 of the DC Universe, I was somewhat interested in the reintroduction of the Challengers of the Unknown, but it has been only so-so thus far and so while looking up another issue in this series I ran across this one, and I figured I would have a look to see if the story here was any better.  Unfortunate...
