::Insert sarcastic applause::
I've really tried to like this series. Don't get me wrong, Bendis is a fantastic writer, Yu is my second favorite artist, and the idea for this story is amazing. However, what they accomplished in eight issues could have easily been done in five. Most of the time is spent on great looking splash battle scenes. Hey, a few of those are great, but by the end of issue eight, I'm sick of them. The set-up, so far, was the best thing to come out of S.I. Months of conspiracy theory action in New Avengers really got me excited, and S.I. really just bored me. Is it sad when I could care less that Wasp died? Seriously, didn't even flinch, and I love that character. I have a feeling that in this three act play, the second act is the worst part. The aftermath is probably going to be the best stuff.
Do yourselves a favor, go pick up the new Hellboy book.
