    Spoiler free review...

First off, Yu's artwork is really great in this. He can be considered an acquired taste, but his style is geared more towards the mainstream comic audience, at least for the first issue. Bendis is Bendis in here, you love him or hate him.

As for the issue itself, a few Skrull reveals in this issue, both of them decently shocking. Quite a few references to earlier New Avengers issue, mainly the savage land run. There's so I'd like to say about this issue, but any talk will ruin it for the people who haven't read it yet.

In all honestly, I thought this was going to be all hype, but it pulled through to be a really fun read. The conspiracy element of New Avengers is still here, as well as the smash em' up style of Mighty Avengers. This is the start to a great marvel storyline that hopefully will continue to be thought provoking, jaw dropping and overall a great reading experience.

Loud Idiots Review of Secret Invasion #1 0

Forty-five years ago, the Skrull debuted as one of the most prominent extra-terrestrial races in the Marvel Universe. After years of half-assed, crackpot schemes to take over the earth (Including one that resulted in an entire planet of skrulls who adopted the personae of Prohibition era gangsters, I kid you not), the shape-changing Skrull have finally gotten their act together and launched a full scale infiltration of human society. Now anyone could be a Skrull, and the question Earth's heroes,...
