Hooray for two-person Unscripted!
Having the entire run of Irredeemable Ant-Man, I absolutely love Eric O'Grady Ant-Man. Having him on a major team (with Steve Rogers, no less) is pretty awesome. Glad to see him actually being utilized.
" Finally G-man and Babs doing a review together "Will our heroes come out alive? Stay tuned for next exciting episode of The Avengers! >:)
" So my only complaint is this. After all those months of secret covers and such, Nova leaves after 4 issues? "Its not surprising, Brubaker stated from the beginning that Nova wouldn't be on the team at all times. Which is refreshing an indirect way of pointing to characters having their own stories to tell and things to do. I wasn't a big fan of Nova being a member of the SA anyway, I mean he's Nova Prime, he has the entire Nova Corp. to look after, rebuild, and train the new recruits.
Nice to have a two-person review again.
Really good issue. Best so far in this series. The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was that Nova wasn't stronger when he wore the crown. He should have put up a better fight and done some more evil stuff.

I read the first two issues of Secret Avengers and I have to say it blows all the other Avengers titles out of the water. "
Loved it, still one of my top titles overal. I agree on the lack of Moon Knight but that was a minor issue. This washed out the bad taste Uncanny #527 left in my mouth.
I agree with Babs, It would have been cool if he couldn't handle it completely. Like he could handle it enough to get the job done, but he was playing through the pain the whole time and he actually can't take it in the end.
Because then it makes Steve more human and not the untouchable Captain America who can't die and can do anything. Gives him some limitations. Like when people complain about Batman being unstoppable, I don't want that to happen to Steve Rogers either.
I also am annoyed by Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hawkeye, and others showing up in more than one Avengers comic.
also, glad to see you guys both reviewing together. I like the solo reviews too. But i like the conversations too.
My very first thought was that the Nick Fury working for the Shadow Cabinet was a Life Model Decoy. Nothing, so far, contradicts that.
Even though I believe that Steve Rogers return was a mistake that Marvel made when they revived him and many writers would have a problem on knowing what to do with him. Im actually glad that he's in Brubakers hands as we see him keep the interest and respect for Captain America, Marvels most EPIC hero ever made.
I disagree with Miss Babs, it wouldn't be cool if Steve Rogers couldn't handle wearing Nova's helmut. She doesn't realize that Captain America was designed and created as a rolemodel for readers and to see him unable to handle something like that would be way out of character. For a guy who is worthy to swing around Thors hammer, im actually glad to see Steve Rogers be introduced into something new and unique. Probably one of the most greatest combinations that I find creative and unique for Steve Rogers.
The only thing that Steve Rogers shouldn't be able to handle is two things, personal baddies and Super Soldier malfunctions.
Nova is way too powerful for this team. I'm so tired of someone like Nova being punked by Steve Rogers.
Nova has been through two cosmic wars, ending the second one himself, and Steve Rogers once again is the "I'll save the day!" hero. He shouldn't be. I'm glad they got Nova out before he got pissed on any more.
