With the multiple incarnations of the Secret Avengers, I simply wanted to make my own roster for "unsanctioned activities." Here is my desired roster, who would you have (10 members max)

    Black Panther(T'Challa): Team Leader

Rationale: Diplomatic Immunity, Well trained, technologically Savvy, virtually limitless cutting edge resources, global intelligence network, freedom to establish a command base in Wakanda, the Dora milaje and Storm as backup.

Diamondback (Rachel Leighton): Assistant Team Leader

Rationale: Versatile, Well trained, technologically Savvy, ties to Captain America, global intelligence network (do to history with serpent Society), freedom to operate undercover (due to the number of her "spinoffs"), reformed Villain, and has shown leasdership potential.

    Scarlet Spider (Kaine): Reconnaissance

Rationale: Well trained, technologically Savvy, inventive talents, perfect Alibi (Peter Parker will be in a separate location at all times), and much more ruthless than "Pete", burning hands. all of peter's innate talents with more a more aggressive edge.

Tiger's Beautiful Daughter (Li Hua): Close Quarters Combat/Hand to hand specialist

Rationale: virtually unbeatable at close quarters, mystically Savvy, patience and discipline, experience in the supernatural, freedom to establish a command base in her Village, Immortal Weapons as possible backup.

    Victoria Hand: Logistics

Rationale: Well trained, technologically Savvy, politically minded, virtually limitless cutting edge resources, global intelligence network, freedom to establish a command base anywhere in the world (due to history with SHIELD and HAMMER), perfect Espionage Agent, skilled negotiator, patient capable leader, committed to a cause she commits to.

Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff): Paranormal Operations/Magic Ops

Rationale: Well trained, provides magical threat, skilled possible espionage agent, global intelligence network, desire for redemption, Quicksilver and Magneto as backup.

Invisible Woman: combat Support (limited due to "other responsibilities)

Rationale: Raw Power (invisibility), perfect Alibi (Fantastic Four)/deniability, Well trained, technologically competent, virtually limitless cutting edge resources, global intelligence network, perfect Support (extraction capabilities), leadership experience, perfect espionage agent (due to her social temperment, outgoing personality, and her ability to disappear) the Fantastic Four as possible backup.

    Who are your choices?

@ChadwickDavis: I really like the list but some of the rationale doesn't work.

With Black Panther he would not want shield to be in Wakanda, EVER. I would see him being both team leader and recce for the team.

Also Scarlet Spider would not be good recce with his attitude history as seen in a latest issues.

I see you use Global Intelligence network a lot, for almost all the personnel on the team. Anyone can network with people. But this implies that they know source handlers and operators, I doubt that well except Victoria would.

but other than thoes major factors I again really like your list.

If I had to make a team it would be like this:

Comander: Cyclops : Experience as team leader for years, headed covert muntant ops with X-Force prime leader.

2IC: Mockingbird: As 2IC her job is to make sure the team is preped and ready for a operation. Understand the Comanders intent on a mission/ops and handles the administration. She is good because of working for shield as a field operator.

Assaulter: Scarlet Spider: He would be perfect to go in guns a blazin.

    Support: Sasquatch: Smart and tough.

Paranormal Support: Shaman : Many decades experience dealing with spirits, gods and demons.

Intellegence: Black Widow: Knows all the source handlers in the system.

    Cosmic Intel: Star Lord.

Commander: Quake, she is head of SHEILD Now. Secret Avengers should be under Shield Control. So Military affiliated characters only. Assigns missions mostly might go on a few.

Suzi Endo: provides Support, data analysis and tech expertise. Plus she and Rhodey are fun together.

    Active Squad

Black Widow: Field Leader and Senior Agent. Absolute insult she is taking orders from Hawkeye. This is no the Ultimate Verse.

Madame Web: For the telepathy primarily and her other mental powers. Telepathy especially useful for communication and interrogation.

RULK: For the heavy hitting brick plus he is an Ex General so plenty of experience in these powers.

War Machine: Firepower and Stealth Tech. A moving tank that can now phase and is invisible.

Machine Man: Battle field analysis, random tech abilities plus he and Rulk have a fun relationship

New Agents: Nick Fury Jr and Agent Couson (Marvel is going to push them might as well put the them here)

For my last slot, rotating based on what country they are in can bring in guests like Sabra, Arabian Knight, etc or when you need a magic or cosmic consultant but mostly stick to earth based issues and problems.

1: Granted I did say secret Avengers, but who said anything about SHIELD? If my memory serves me correctly Black Panther initially joined the Avengers to spy on them, and between the Illuminati, the new SHIELD, the Future Foundation (namely their ties with Dr. Doom) and everything going on with the X men what makes you think that wouldn't be worth some further "observation".

2: I refer to Moon Knight and Ant Man for my rebuttal on SS's possible credibility.

3: having the advantage of international contacts would be vitan in maintaining the "secret" aspect of the unit...let's face it the "Secret Avengers" have become too public as of late. As far as the Global intelligence network argument...only half the roster has that level of connections. Black panther is royalty, Victoria Hand is ex SHIELD/ Hammer, Diamondback is ex Serpent Society, and she has strong ties to Captain America, and Invisible Woman is married to Reed Richards (illuminati member.) I think they fit in the Global Intelligence Network category. As far as Scarlet Spider is concerned however...yeah I'm going to correct that..dont know what i was thinking on that one.

    4 thanks for the comments

    This is my dream team:

Black Panther (Leader, I have to agree with ChadwickDavis, he makes the perfect team leader and his abilities and tech scream Black Ops, not to mention all of his crazy inventions he could lend to the group)

Venom (Muscle, Firearms. I typically not a huge fan of Venom, but the Flash Thompson version works very well, he could specialize in assassinations, and take apart villians in close combat, not to mention that he could borrow tech from Black Panther to help him have more control over the Symbiote)

Black Widow (Second in command, her savvy and experience in stealth and sabotage make her a perfect fit for the team, and when Black Panther is busy with Wakandan buisiness, she easily could the team leader)

Scarlet Witch (Magic, Powerhouse. Her recent return, and her being on hiatus make her a great addition to this team, not to mention her magical prowess and massive powers, and experience as an Avenger make her an asset to the team)

A-Bomb (Powerhouse. I love A-Bomb. He has massive potential but is stuck on the sidelines. He could the be main muscle of the team, and deserves a spot)

Quicksilver (Speedster. His combat prowess and violent nature make him a perfect member, he could help his sister maintain control over her powers and do precise and difficult things most of the team couldn't)

Ant-Man (Sabotage. Eric O'Grady is a must for the team, as his powers make him valuable for the team, and frankly I just like him better than the other size changing heroes and heroines)
