Now I've never read anything about Rider before Annihilation, but isn't he a tad strong to be a constant member? I'm under the impression that he rivals SS. He was pretty destructive in Annihilation and I loved it. I know Thor was also incredibly strong in the original avengers but he didn't have the Odin Force. Thanks

It's true that he's a pretty powerful character, but when you consider that a previous avengers team had Sentry, and the original teams had Hulk, he doesn't seem TOO overpowered. Of course, you have a point if we think about how the Secret avengers are supposed to be... well, secret. His powers aren't the most subtle.

He cannot be a constant member IMO...only a temp. He  guards the whole galaxy as a space cop not just the Earth sector. He has his own book etc....

Yeah but if you see what they are doing is involving him in space, aka Mars, but we will see. I mean I don't think you can be too powerful because they will just up the villains they throw at them. Wasn't he in the New Warriors?

Namorita was actually brought to the 616 universe by Rider in recent issues of Nova, she is from an alternate timeline.  
 
I don't really get where these events take place, considering Rider is kind of busy right now with the whole 'universe is about to end, who cares about a serpent crown' situation going on in the cosmic books. 
 
Also, Nova is no where near the Silver Surfer in power, as shown in his own book. He's pretty powerful though, I would say the most powerful on the team for sure.

I kind of agree but I kind of feel like the only characters that work for the theme of Secret Avengers are Captain America, Antman, and Black Widow....the rest of the team feels out of place to me
