For xmen second coming, are the issues that are not part of the 14 chapters vital to read?  Would I be missing much if i just read the 14 chapters?

Hellbound deepend the mystery of Apocalypse's influence over Gambit & explains what happens when Cannonball's team goes to save Illyana.  If you like Anole, Cannonball, Dazzler, Gambit, Northstar, Pixie or Illyana then read it.  If you don't care for any of these characters, then don't bother.

Blind Science was just a one-off that explained how the "X-Club" (I hate that name) survived the bomb on one of Bastion's towers.  Unless you really like Dr Rao, Dr Nemesis or Box, then avoid like the plague.  It's a typical one-shot PoS.

X-Factor's 3 issues weren't integral to the main Second Coming story line, however I found them enjoyable.  Slow, but not bad.  But don't bother getting them unless you like the current X-Factor line-up.
