im curious how the movie will translate the six volumes into a 2 hour movie

i'm pretty sure i'm going to see this, the review has me a bit worried as to whether or not i'll enjoy it, but it certainly won't hurt to try it

Saw a preview screening (un-finalised sound) and loved it! Will definitely be seeing it again. So funny!

I just really don't have much interest. It looks so juvenile. Maybe that's the point...but not something that peaks my interest.

The part that interests me most, based on the commercials is that they finally include the sound effects visually in a cool looking way.  making the comic book movie more comic styled without altering it to be more like a comic with panels or something.

I don't know if I am going to see this in the theatre or just watch it online, decisions, decisions...

I can not even imagine how such a comic book adapted into a movie. Actors will not be able to convey those emotions

The thing to remember is that a comic book, nor a movie, can be "hipster".  That is a human quality.  Football is not "jock" even if jocks are obsessed with football.  It's just a thing, and we should not disregard entire creations because a jerk I know enjoys it.
 
That being said, tons and tons and tons of annoying, shitty people love Scott Pilgrim.  That's nothing new to any work of art.  But Scott Pilgrim, in and of itself, is amusing to me.  It is very simplistic.  The formula to your liking it is this:  Do you like classic video games and cheesy romance and the pacing of your humor?  Then check out Scott Pilgrim!  Do you not like any of that stuff?  Then…don’t.  That’s really all it boils down to.  And if it's not "your thing" that doesn't mean it's bad.  Ballet isn't "my thing" but I won't talk about how much "it sucks!!!" because I have no frame of reference.  That doesn't even include the intangibles that are so key to a person's interest or disinterest.
 
To me, none of the references seemed ham-fisted or "trying to look cool", the author just liked those games and thought of silly and cool ideas of how to include them.  It was the CONSUMERS who bastardized it.  Just because you have 15-year-old girls writing on their blogs that "Mario Karts and GoldenEyes r mi shit!!!" doesn't mean that if someone earnestly expresses a fondness for Ninja Gaiden they're trying to look "cool"...Ninja Gaiden is rad!  Who doesn't love Ninja Gaiden?  If you find an opening and your story is wacky enough, why wouldn't you want to include it?  Scott Pilgrim isn't "hipster" and ballet isn't "gay" and wrestling isn't "redneck".  If Star Wars was a box office bomb and appealed almost exclusively to KKK members, does that mean Star Wars is now a KKK film?  Or is it just a film they happen to like?

Definitely won't be going to see it on the first day. I just know some fat woman's gonna sit right behind me and laugh way to ridiculously loud at parts that aren't even that f@#king funny, and kill the parts that are funny if I go on the first day.
 
Best to wait until I can either get into a matinee or people stop going as much, so the theater is fairly empty.

Experiencing a new comic book movie and not judging it for what its trying to be isn't really a review, but sharing personal thoughts and opinions that would probably have people hit or miss your idea of  what a good movie is. 
 
Ive never seen the film and I probably won't unless my wife would want to go see it. But when I first saw the trailer to this film, I couldn't help but feel reminded of my highschool years as a teenager and thats the main reason why I wouldn't want to go see this film alone, my old self would actually feel way out of place. 
Yes, I am calling this film a teenager flick, and that isn't bad, its actually good for what it is. Great music score, great storyline, great theme, what new hip cultural teenager wouldn't want to experience this film is beyond me. Besides Michael Cera unchanged acting, I would probably predict that this film is a higher rating than what you gave because you only saw this movie as full grown mature acting man instead of a teenager who's trying to experience something new and cool in the comic book genre. 
 
I honestly get more enjoyment when enjoy something for what it is instead of what I personally wanted.

I can't wait to see this.  I feel like too many people are deriding the film for TRYING too hard.  I think there's a difference between a movie trying too hard and simply having a style that may be a bit abrasive.  I think Scott Pilgrim is more of the latter than the former.  People who get it are going to love it; those who don't are going to be put off. 
 
I love video games.  I love Edgar Wright.  I don't see any reason I'd dislike this movie.

WOW... 3.5?  Makes sense what you mean hit or miss.  I was skeptical because I live in Toronto and loved the series so long.  The movie was nothing up Aces for me.  Maybe my Toronto bias came to play since I by my comics from the Beguiling which is in the area of Lee's Palace.
