STORY

Hanzo Hasashi was a member of the Shirai Ryu, a rival clan of the Lin Kuei. He was murdered in cold blood by one of the Lin Kuei's finest, Sub-Zero.

But he would return to avenge his death at the hands of Sub-Zero, and the massacre of his clan and family. He killed Sub-Zero and his revenge was complete. He has other enemies,such as Quan-Chi,a sorcerer whom he has numerously met and fought.

POWERS

He has the ability to teleport and spew flames. He also possesses a kunai attached to a rope, which he throws at opponents to kill or drag towards himself.

Blood Spear: Blasting out a rope, that has a very sharp knife at the end. Scorpion either kills the rival and strikes him in the head to get it over with. Or he could strike the rival in the chest, giving Scorpion to pull the rival over and get a free blind spot hit. This is one of Scorpion's most popular attacks,and comes with the phrase,"Come Here!" or "Get Over Here!". In other media,the blood spear can be a living,metallic creature that shoots out of slits in his hands.

Teloport Attack/HellFire Punch: Scorpion teleports in a firey teleport, he appears behind the rival and throws a mean punch.

Aerial Black Teleport Punch: Scorpion teleports in a firey teleport. He appears behind the rival and gives a flame punch, lifting the rival in the air.

Leg Takedown: Scorpion trips the rival in a scissor like formation.

Air Throw: While in the air Scorpion grabs the rival and tosses him thrustfully.

Breathe Fire: Scorpion removes his mask showing his hell flaming skull, he spits out fire on the rival. This is another of Scorpion's popular special attacks.

HellFire: Scorpion summons the flaming fire from hell above the ground and burn his rival.

BlackFlip Kick: Scorpion does a summersault kick, while his foot is flaming he kicks the rival hitting him with fire and leaving a trail of fire behind him.

Deadly Fatalities

Toasty: In this deadly move Scorpion takes off his mask, showing his hellspawned skull. Scorpion then breathes fire out of his mouth burning the rival alive, eventually making him explode in a fiery blood bath.

Spear Slice: Scorpion takes out a special knife, and slices the rival's throat, then the poor rival gets sliced in the hip in half, making the rival fall on the ground. This was changed in the game Mortal Kombat: Shoalin Monks. Scorpion carries th knife with a backhand angle and stabs, the rival in the stomach ripping it across the rival. Then Scorpion rips of the rival's body from the waist and up, and raises it high in the air for his glory in victory.

Origin

Scorpion is a human ninja. He has a Japanese clan called the Shirai Ryu from Osaka. "Scorpion" was his code name. His father who used to be a member forbade his son to join the clan, because he didn’t want his son to live a life of and assassin. Hanzo joined any way. He was hired by Quan-Chi to find a map somewhere hidden in the Himalayas. Quan-Chi also demanded help,Sub-Zero from the Lin Kuei, who is Hanzo's rival.

Quan-Chi thought if he hires two it will increase his chances of finding the secret ultimate power, just in case if one of them fail. When Scorpion got to the Himalayas him and Sub-Zero got their at the same time. They both fight and Sub-Zero wins the fight. Sub-Zero kills Scorpion and, Scorpion falls into the dark, dark pits of the Netherealm. Scorpion had a choice of staying in Hell for the rest of eternity, or he could go back into the world, but he goes back to the world he will lose his memory of his past and family. Scorpion wanted revenge on Sub-Zero for what the Lin Kuei did, so he came back to the world and lose his memory past and family, Then Scorpion vowed that one day he will kill Sub-Zero because his clan wiped out Scorpion's clan.

Scorpion can not meet with Sub-Zero again, unless Sub-Zero comes to the Netherealm. But, Sub-Zero was sent to the Netherrealm by Raiden to find the amulet of Shinnok and Quan-Chi. They both met and fight; Sub-Zero wins again, and escapes. Scorpion follows Sub-Zero back to earth and participates in Shang Tsung's tournament, since Scorpion was unknown to the Lin Kuei, and so he was invited. The two met again on Shang's boat and Scorpion grabbed Sub-Zero by the throat and said:

"You killed me in cold blood exactly two years ago, to this day, but my demons have allowed me to avenge my death. I could kill you at this moment, but I am not a murderer. We will meet at the tournament, and then, Lin Kuei warrior, you will pay with your life."

They didn’t meet in the tournament, but they did meet in the closing of Mortal Kombat. This time they battle to the death. Scorpion won the battle and avenged his death. Then, he violently blast into flames and ash, and is sent back to the Netherrealm.

A year after that happened; Scorpion heard Sub-Zero was going to enter the second tournament. He was furious that his murder was not vital, Sub-Zero was still alive. Scorpion followed Sub-Zero to the realm of the outworld, this time Shao Kahn was the host. No body knows if they met in the tournament, but Scorpion saw Sup-Zero sparing the life of an opponent. Scorpion didn’t understand why a person from a murdering clan would have mercy. But, then Scorpion realizes that this is Sub-Zero's older brother completing an unfinished mission. Scorpion didn’t want to kill this Sub-Zero because this isn't the man who once killed him. He didn’t want to kill the noob saibot, Then Scorpion was sent back to the dark Netherealm.

When Shao Khan tried to take over the Earthrealm (failing) Scorpion was released and could walk on earth again. He did not respect to no one. But, Shao Khan realized Scorpion was great war skills. Scorpion was on Shao Khan side now. But, Noob Sailbot and the Earthrealm warriors had a war against the evil emperor. The Earthream won and things turned back into normal. Even Scorpion was back into the Netherealm.

During Mortal Combat Gold, Scorpion soon realizes that Noob Sailbot was in part on the murder of his clan. Quan Chi offered him life if he joins sides with the Elder Gods war. Scorpion Accepted. But, only for him to fight against Sub-Zero, Quan Chi was not aware of this, but Quan Chi plotted the whole thing all along. Scorpion fined Sub-Zero and they had their final battle. Scorpion's revenge was so strong that he won the battle. Then Quan Chi came and he said he planed the whole thing of the Shirai Ryu clan being destroyed. Scorpion couldn’t even get a word out; Qua Chi started the spell of putting him back into the Netherealm. But, just before he did the spell Scorpion grabbed him and took him as well to the Netherrealm.

Year, after year Quan Chi has spent in the fifth plane of the Netherealm. He would be hunted, beaten and tortured by Scorpion. Quan Chi was unlikely to escape because his powers were weakened. But, Scorpion's powers grew stronger. Quan Chi made a deal with Oni Drahmin and Moloch to take care of Scorpion for him. Quan Chi eventually escaped threw a portal while Scorpion was following. But, then he was ambushed and beaten by Drahmin and Moloch, (Drahmin and Moloch escaped as well.) they both tossed him in the Soulnado, believing that it will kill Scorpion permanently, (as told in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.)

But, Scorpion managed to escape threw the void before being ripped apart. There he met the Elder Gods who he never thought that existed; he changed from what he had encountered. He also saw Raiden's sacrifice and Onaga's dominance starting to stop. The Elder Gods knew this would happen and gave him more mortal and supernatural powers; he soon became the champion of the Elder Gods. Then the Elder Gods gave him a new quest to seek and destroy Onaga before he does more wraths. Scorpion accepted and returned to the Outworld.
